Otto Theron Attorneys Inc. is a boutique law firm located in the heart of the Cape Winelands, Paarl.
We acknowledge that every case is unique and therefore believe in personalized strategies. Under the leadership of a dynamic and motivated team, we pride ourselves on our creative perspective and open minded style. Practicing as a small firm, we offer individualized services to our clients, whilst being committed to providing our clients with an exclusive approach aimed at achieving a desired result

Heine Otto

Director & Practising Attorney

Heine Otto grew up on a farm near the Botswana border. He later relocated to the Western Cape and matriculated from Stellenbosch High whereafter he furthered his studies at Stellenbosch University. He obtained his BA HRM, PDM and Postgraduate LLB degree from Stellenbosch University.

After completion of his LLB degree he started his legal career at the Law Clinic of Stellenbosch University, where he predominantly  focused on opposing eviction applications. He later moved to private practice and soon headed the evictions department.

Heine is a specialist on individuals’ security of tenure rights regulated by the Extension of Security of Tenure Act, 62 of 1997 (ESTA).
Heine assists clients in the agricultural sector with a diverse range of services including but not limited to Evictions, Relocations, Alternative Dispute Resolution (Mediation) and the Implementation of Housing Agreements/Policies on farms as to effectively regulate the right of residence of the occupiers residing on farms situated across all Provinces.

Esmeri Theron

Director & Practising Attorney

Esmeri Theron grew up in Johannesburg and obtained degrees B.com Law and LLB, cum laude, at North West University Potchefstroom. Esmeri commenced her career in Pretoria whereafter a dream came true to relocate to Paarl.

She is a dynamic and dedicated individual with extensive experience in various fields of the law, with a specific interest and passion for agricultural housing disputes and property-related matters. With a wide exposure to different fields of the law, she is equipped to follow a holistic approach when assisting clients with a legal matter.

Esmeri is currently furthering her qualifications as to become an admitted Notary Public and Conveyancer.

Maché Joshua

Office administrator

Maché joined Otto Theron Attorneys in April 2021 and has since become a valuable asset to the team. Maché plays the key role of office administrator, ensuring that our clients are well informed of the status of each of their matters.


Maché was born and raised in a small town called Pniel. After finishing High School in Stellenbosch, she studied Hospitality and Catering.


Maché gained valuable experience in management positions whilst working in the United States of America for 6 years, whereafter she returned home in 2019.
Maché is excited to learn more about the legal field.
